Ravens Girls Tier 3 Development Teams for 2024-2025

We wanted to make everyone aware of the all girls developmental team opportunities exclusively for girls offered in our KVHA Ravens program.
Tier 3 hockey is a good first step for girls who are looking for low commitment,  need more skill development or are just starting from a learn to play or learn to skate program.  We are fortunate to have a 14u Tier 3 and a 12u Tier 3 Ravens team this season.
Jim Kirila is our 14u T3 Head Coach and he has a core group of returning players that he will build from.
Melissa Anderson is our 12u T3 Head Coach and the 12u team will start as a mix of 10u and 12u players (2015 through 2012) unless we have enough girls for them to split into a 10u and a 12u team, and then we will have two separate teams.
10u, 12u and 14u Tier 3 Ravens registration is open now and costs $220 – https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/433764/signups
These teams are formed on a first come first served basis so you want to register now to ensure a spot for your daughter.
For the 8u and 6u girls, we recommend that the girls play on the BIGGBY Mini Mite and Mite teams as a primary team and we will have some girls only skates plus a Ravens 8u Select Team, where the 2016 and 2017 girls will participate in the MGHL 8u division and some full ice scrimmages or tournaments as a part time opportunity, 2-3 times per month.   If we have a 10u tier 3 separate team, that would also give some 8u girls, mostly 2016s an extra opportunity to play with the older girls.   The link to register for the BIGGBY House program is here: https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/406097/signups
The older girls through 12u, are also eligible to play on boy’s house teams.   14u girls are not recommended to play 14u boy’s hockey, as this is the checking age and it is a safety concern.  You can learn more about our BIGGBY Coffee House Hockey program here: https://kvhockey.org/house/.

Our programs sell out so please be sure to register sooner rather than later if you are seeking a boys house team.   If the divisions sell out, we will start a waiting list and consider adding an extra team.  For all of the divisions there really is no way to determine how many teams we will have next season, as it varies from year to year based on how many kids register, how many are moving up from one division to another, how many kids make the jump from house to travel, and how many coaches we have to fill the spots. We will add as many teams as we need if we have enough ice time and coaches to support it.

The cost for KVHA Registration this season is $220 with early registration now through June 30.  On July 1st, the fee increases to $270.00;
After August 1 is $320 for late registration.

We receive many questions regarding how registration fees are used.  100% of the KVHA fees collected are utilized to enhance everyone’s hockey experience, support our coaches and families, and promote youth hockey throughout the local community.  Most of your yearly season registration fee covers your player’s team jerseys and socks and we use the balance to cover other team expenses during the season, such as the league entry fees for all of our teams, coaching reimbursements for up to 4 coaches per team, the per game referee scheduling fees and also contributions to teams who compete at States and Nationals.   A complete list of ways we help our teams can be found on our registration page.  If you have any questions, please reach out to office@kvhockey.org, or any of the KVHA Board Members.

If you are looking for summer training, please visit the following page, there are many options to choose from with more camps coming – https://kvhockey.org/training/
If it is too soon, or your daughter is no longer interested in hockey, we will be here if and when they are ready to begin.  We will also have more Try Hockey Free Events in the future, stay tuned.

We wish you all a safe and happy Summer and look forward to seeing everyone back at the rink in August.
