This program is for players who are 8 years old and older (this year it is those born 2017 and earlier) to have a team of their own and learn the rules of the game with an opportunity to play in scrimmages to increase their comfort level and better prepare them to move to our full-ice house program, which is a 30+ game season that involves league and district play.
Sessions are limited to 24 players total, two teams of 12 skaters each to maximize game shifts and allow for more individual coaching.

Players must be a registered member of USA Hockey for the current season prior to registering for this program

WHY HOCKEY?
IT'S MORE THAN A GAME
Hockey develops life skills that build a foundation for a child's confidence, pride, focus and responsibility.
LIFE-LONG FRIENDSHIPS
Starting with the bonds created in the locker room to the relationships formed on the ice, hockey creates friendships that last a lifetime.
SET UP FOR SUCCESS
Hockey's unique structure ensures that your child learns to love the game while promoting a healthy lifestyle, social wellness and mental well-being.
HOCKEY IS FUN
The encouraging environment hockey provides helps kids grow as both hockey players and people.
LEARN THE GAME COACHES
Our programs are 99% volunteer based and are only a success because of the outstanding efforts of our volunteer coaches.
We are always looking for help on the ice for this program and will need two head coaches to serve as the lead for all things related to the team. Our Learn to Play Director will ensure the overall program is organized with plans for every session but the more coaches we have, the more that can be accomplished and the better support the players will receive.
Our Learn the Game coaches must comply with the USA Hockey coaching requirements.
If you wish to assist, please send your USA Hockey # to office@kvhockey.org
