Recreational House Hockey Programs for Ages 4-14!

Our KVHA Tier 3 program, is for the youth in Livingston and Oakland Counties in MAHA's District 4.  Our program focuses on making house hockey the most fun experience for the kids while building the next generation of youth coaches and players, while keeping the sport affordable for our families.   Our goal is to grow the game, while teaching our players to be a good teammate, how to set goals and helping them have fun reaching them!   Our hockey family grows stronger each season and we hope you will join us in creating lifelong friendships at the rink!

KVHA Recreational House Teams

House, or recreational hockey is for all skill levels! It is less commitment, less cost and less travel than tier 2, however players must exhibit a minimum skill level to participate.

Utilizing the USA Hockey ADM structure allows for skill appropriate play, which maximizes puck touches and ice time.  Shared practices allow the kids to not only get to know their teammates, but players and coaches on other teams as well.  Each season we determine the number of teams that we are able to field given the number of head coaches, amount of ice time available from the rink, and the number of players seeking to play at each age level.

We have a great program, led by amazing volunteer coaches and we hope that you consider joining our hockey family!

JUNIOR REBELS/RENEGADES MAHA 8u PLUS TEAM

The Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) launched its first ‘8u Hockey Plus Program’ in January 2024. Approved by USA Hockey, the new program represents a defined path of transition for 8u hockey players from ADM into full-ice hockey, prior to their introduction into the 10u classification the following season.

The 8u Hockey Plus Program allows second year Mite players the opportunity to play full ice games in preparation for moving up to 10u in the Spring.   The approved teams are made up of exclusively 2018 players who are also rostered to their half ice team.  Separate registration will be offered in September for players interested in joining.  8u plus players are expected to keep playing with their half-ice Mite team throughout the season.

2026-2027 8u Plus details will be out soon

The team(s) will start skating in November, full ice games can begin mid-January.

8 & Under Hockey Costs 2026-2027 Season

These fees cover the cost f0r ice time that KVHA rents from the rink for each team, plus team fees such as TeamSnap and coaching reimbursements, as well as KVHA administration fees to facilitate hockey operations.   Fees are reviewed annually and sometimes includes extra ice time and other events.  Funding for extras not covered by this fee will be collected independently by each team, typically these are team parties, gifts and tournaments.  Teams can obtain sponsorships as well as fundraise to cover these extra costs.

Monthly payments are set up at the time of your initial registration and are made on-line through TeamSnap regardless of whether you choose to pay in full or set up monthly installment payments.  Ice payments are due by the end of each month and will end once your 7 installments are paid or you have paid in full.    Payments can be set up using MasterCard, Visa, Discover, AMEX or via ACH directly from your checking account (check routing).  KVHA does not accept checks, money orders, or cash.
